WHAT MAKES SANTA ROSA MICROBLADING ARTISTIC STUDIO SO
DIFFERENT?

WHAT IF I ALREADY HAVE MICROBLADING OR PERMANENT MAKEUP?

Regardless of how long ago you received Microblading or permanent makeup treatment, I need to see the work performed. Please send a clear photo
to pc.artisticink@gmail.com
Please understand that touching up or covering up another artist's work is a more in depth process and pricing starts at our base price for the treatment. This is not considered a touch up and additional charges may apply for color correction or removal.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY
APPOINTMENT?

Tobacco, Coffee, Alcohol, Aspirin, Fish Oil and other blood thinners can affect the results of your treatment. The longer you can abstain from taking or using these substances the better the results. It
is recommended you abstain from these substances a minimum of 2 weeks prior.
Please show up to your appointment with a makeup-free face. NO MAKEUP of any kind regardless of the treatment you are receiving. Botox, Fillers, Laser, and other kinds of facial treatments such as chemical peels must be done a minimum of 4 weeks prior to your appointment.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?

There is a common misconception that Microblading is semi-permanent. These treatments are permanent, however, they do require some maintenance to keep the color fresh. These treatments are placed in the skin not on the skin and will dull and fade over time. It is recommended that you follow your artist's recommendations based on the type of treatment you are receiving.

IS MICROBLADING OR OTHER PERMANENT MAKEUP PAINFUL?

Discomfort is relative.
A topical numbing agent can be applied after the skin is opened to lessen discomfort, if necessary.

IS MICROBLADING, PERMANENT MAKEUP SAFE?

Our pigments are cosmetic grade; they are sterilized and purified for cosmetic use. They contain no metals. The ingredients have been approved by the FDA for cosmetic use. All of our tools are single-use and are discarded after the treatment. All of our equipment is Professional Grade. I'm certified, insured and licensed per local applicable regulations. I use the best tools, take extra precautions, and do not cut corners on safety and cleanliness.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME FOR MICROBLADING OR PERMANENT MAKEUP?

There is no downtime, however there will be a healing period of 3-8 days regardless of the treatment that you receive. The color may appear darker for the first 5-7 days and you may see uneven coloration. Aftercare instructions will be given to you at the time of your appointment. Some may experience minor swelling and flaking during 3-5 days of the healing process. Once the area is healed it can still take up to two months for the color to settle.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

All of our permanent makeup treatments are a minimum of two sessions. Additional sessions may be needed depending on the starting point, your skin type, your skincare routine, type of hair loss, age and lifestyle. This will all be discussed with you during your initial session with me.

It is imperative that you come to your appointment with soft moisturized lips for the best results.
Please use a sugar scrub, you can easily make your own, for 3-4 nights prior to your treatment. Scrub lips for 2-3 minutes, wipe off the excess and then apply a thick mask of Vaseline, Aquaphour or Raw Honey. Let the mask sit for 15-20 minutes.
Avoid any lipsticks as they tend to dry out the lips and keep them moist with a nourishing balm instead for 5 days prior to your treatment. Lip Fillers must be done one month prior to your appointment.
