Plastic and reconstructive surgeries require areola tattooing in order to complete and finalize a finished look. A 3D or high definition areola tattoo is a procedure that provides the most realistic results for both men and women who have had plastic and reconstructive breast surgery.

During the consultation, we decide whether the client is a candidate for this procedure. Consultation is the most important step to begin the process of the areola micropigmentation. It will determine the most pleasing color, position, form, and size for the nipple and the areola.

As a first step, we will listen and answer any questions or concerns that you may have. As we move into the ideas you desire and are looking for, we will make recommendations depending on your skin type, scar marks, and breast shape so that the areola shape that we design is perfect for your unique breast. We will communicate and decide together the best option for the look you desire. Once we have the concept of what you are looking for, we will choose a color together that fits you best. When we find the perfect color, we will draw your areola until we get your final approval. We will not begin the treatment until you are completely satisfied.

We use state of the art equipment and material approved by the state of California for the procedure (before we start with the procedure, forms must be filled out as required by State law). Permanent cosmetic tattooing is a simple, non-surgical procedure. We start by cleaning the breast area properly. We will draw the shape of the areola as agreed earlier, sterilize the surface, and then apply a topical anesthetic (cream and/or gel). We begin to insert the pigment into the dermal layer of the skin.

Permanent Areola Micro Pigmentation techniques involve implanting custom color pigment into the dermal layer of the skin as a way to restore the natural beauty of your breasts. Areola Micro-Pigmentation provides color and definition – essentially tattooing of the area – in order to simulate a nipple and areola.

Areola micro pigmentation can be for men and women who have areolas that are too small, asymmetrical, scars from cosmetic surgery and too pale or without definition, cosmetic tattooing can achieve a balanced shape, even coloring and clarity.

When finished, the full areola micro pigmentation treatment generally takes between 1 to 3 hours and should leave you with a natural 3D areola.

It is recommended that you return for a second touch up within 6 to 10 weeks. It usually takes 30 to 60 minutes; we will be adding more

pigment to the areola area. During the healing process, some parts of the skin in the areola area may not hold the pigment well and we may need to add more. This is completely normal and it is important to remember that everyone heals differently.
